Waste Services

In accordance with the International Marpol Convention 73/78 and the Regulation on Receiving Waste from Ships and Control of Wastes, Ceyport Tekirdağ Port holds a waste reception license and receives solid and liquid waste from ships. Our goal is to prevent marine pollution by collecting this waste, minimizing environmental damage, and supporting the recovery of the country's economy. Our port has the Zero Waste Certificate from the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization and will soon receive the Greenport Certificate.

With a total liquid waste storage capacity of 460 m3 and a solid waste storage space of 60 m2, we temporarily store waste collected from ships under the terms of the MARPOL 73/78 Convention. Wastes received under Annex I of the convention undergo heat treatment and separation, minimizing water content by separating oil and water. The resulting wastewater is purified in our 48 m3/day capacity chemical wastewater treatment unit before being released into the TESKI canal, in accordance with the "TESKI Wastewater Discharge into Sewage Regulation."
